Caminos de Agua and Inmtec Legal Services Forge a Strategic Alliance
Inmtec Legal Services, with offices in Mexico City and San Miguel de Allende, and Caminos de Agua, a leading NGO based in San Miguel focused on helping provide clean water for those whose access is at risk, have created a working relationship.
Inmtec is making a very substantial donation to Caminos de Agua in the form of MXN $500,000 of no-cost legal services and strategic advice to assist Caminos de Agua in achieving its mission.
Bruce Janklow, a Board of Directors spokesperson for Caminos de Agua, commented that “Ángel Marín Díaz, the President and CEO of Inmtec Legal and the Inmtec Foundation, are great partners for us, with Angel’s deep political and corporate roots and his commitment to community.”
According to Inmtec’s Marín Díaz, “water is now, and will continue to be, one of the biggest existential issues our Mexican society will face. At Inmtec, we believe it is part of our corporate and civic responsibility to do something positive about it. In the State of Guanajuato, one of the locations where our people both live and work, water is scarcer and water contamination issues more concerning each year. We have chosen to work with Caminos de Agua because we believe they are committed to work with Government, industry, civic groups, academia, and technical partners to constructively develop the solutions that are needed. They also have the practical experience to make those solutions work in the field.”
Dylan Terrell, Executive Director of Caminos de Agua, stated, “This important donation of legal and advisory services made by Inmtec will be utilized during the remainder of 2020 and into 2021. The professionalism, experience, and strategic capabilities of Ángel and his associates are going to make an important difference to us as we move forward. We have already started working together, and it’s obvious how important their contribution will be.”
