"Aqueous Solutions is consortium of research scientists, field engineers, and ecological designers working to promote livelihood security, environmental and economic sustainability, and local self-reliance through ecological design and appropriate technologies in water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH)."

In January 2016, Caminos de Agua executive director Dylan Terrell attended a training conducted by Aqueous Solutions in Thailand, on creating biochar for water treatment. Aqueous Solution's work in biochar water treatment in south and southeast Asia has informed our research on char-based media development for arsenic and fluoride remediation.

Specifically, Aqueous Solutions' Director of Science, Josh Kearns, and Sri Lanka Program Coordinator, Maia Fitzstevens, have acted as scientific advisors to Caminos de Agua from their respective positions at North Carolina State University.
